My Word (the book)

Using my assemblage of ideas, spring-boarded off one another, I was able to formulate a story. I wanted to show how; while important, our auditory, visual, and textural stimuli are not the only ways to create art work. We often forget of the fleeting ideas of those who cross our line, and how we can amass  a new, exciting idea from them.

My word (precedent)

Setting a precedent is an important part of life. To leave a legacy; or any form of rules for future generations is not only important, it is essential. Often, people think or rules and guidelines as restrictions. I how ever choose to see it a different way. I went around asking people questions. Their responses set a precedent for what my next question would be for a new individual (example: “what is your favorite color?” to person A, answer “green”, then I would ask the next person “what do you think of when I say green?”) Using these guidelines I developed my own unique characters, as well as a story line, to show that in guidelines there are ample amounts of creativity, some of which cannot be unlocked until you develop rules.

My Word (law of the line signitures)

PRECEDENT:    1) In common law legal systems, a precedent or authority is a principle or rule established in a legal case that a court or other judicial body may apply when       deciding subsequent.

2) any act, decision, or case that serves as a guide or justification for subsequent situations.

I explored the line far and (5 feet) wide in search of rules to establish my very own precedent. I was lucky enough to find people on a similar path of mine and confronted them. I asked them to give rules that their parents past down to them, or any advice they would have me live my life by. Here is what they said. Of course I had them sing my document to make their laws official. For the record I obviously  did not meet Chuck Norris, the last guy was just a loser, and didn’t give me his real name!

Exploration #10

I see white. The round sleek surface does not match that of the lower region which, is covered in ridges. It has a reflective and glossy look. Even where it is riddled with ridges and groves. The black markings on it form a cylindrical pattern. As I move down I note a dramatic change in color.

The object is now translucent.  The only color I see from the object now is a light tint of the plastic as well as the light gleaming off its surface.  Or perhaps even the objects rested behind it are presenting me with color. Being I am able to see through it.  Yet, despite its lack of color there still appears to be a definite form to it all. This clear part also has ridges and divots dispersed in a pattern which is appealing to the eye. And when I make my way further down there once again is another rather instant appearance of color.

This time in more abundance. My  eyes now see a rand of colors, blue, red, white, and green. This colors form patterns, letters, and numbers. And though the it is wrapped around the clear plastic it too gives a clear message.  A message of what its purpose is. The very bottom of the object presents me, once again with the clear plastic. Yet this time it is in a different pattern. It as though the base is constructed of a multitude of four, half elongated spheres.
